Working Equitation

Kim has been training and teaching working equitation since 2013. It holds such an important place in her heart that she created our national we body, Working Equitation Canada, to foster and develop this sport throughout Canada. With a dressage first focus on working equitation, clinics begin with the dressage phase and then build on those skills using the ease of handling obstacles. Lastly we tie in speed round and develop the skills and understanding of our individual horses so we can foster their strengths while being successful in training and competition.

Classical Dressage

Kim has spent years studying the principles of  dressage both modern and diving deep into the centuries of training horses through dressage foundations. As an Ecole de Legerete Teacher in Training, Kim focuses on a French Classical Dressage approach for all riders regardless of discipline, goals, age, breed etc. Dressage is about training foundations by building strength, lightness and self carriage.

Connected Riding

Connection requires understanding and clarity. Dig deep in this safe group atmosphere and really dive into your Victories, Challenges, Fears and Goals. Together we will gain understanding and make a plan to move forward towards those dreams. Combining work in hand, on the lunge line, under saddle and bridleless riding, these clinics guide riders to a deeper understanding of themselves and their horses.

Young Horse/Bomb Proofing

Building confidence in horses young or old takes patience, understanding and the ability to read and understand what your horse is telling you. To have a partner that is truly interested and happy to do what we ask of them, we first must let them know they do have a choice and we teach them why it is good to choose to work with our requests by building positive connections to challenging situations. Young horse and bombproofing clinics are designed to learn your horse's communication signs and work with them to develop confidence and make things fun for both you and your horse.

Equine & Rider Asymmetry

In order to truly be a partnership that works in harmony, we must understand ourselves and our horses on a deeper level. Asymmetry clinics focus on helping you understand what equine and rider asymmetry is, how to identify your individual challenges you and your horse face and how to train your eye and understanding to apply the knowledge to new situations and horses.
